Medicare Advisor in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has one of the largest senior populations in the country — and some of the most helpful state programs to go with it. Anil Khanchandani is a licensed Medicare advisor who helps Pennsylvanians compare their options, and coordinate with programs like PACE, in plain language at no cost and with no pressure.

Medicare Guidance for Pennsylvania Residents

Pennsylvania consistently ranks among the states with the highest share of residents aged 65 and older, which means Medicare decisions touch families in nearly every community — from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to the small towns and rural stretches in between.

That geography matters more than people expect. In Pennsylvania's cities, you'll often find a wide choice of Medicare Advantage plans with robust local networks. In rural areas, those networks can be much thinner, and a plan that looks attractive on paper may not include a conveniently located doctor or hospital. Where you live in Pennsylvania genuinely changes which type of coverage makes sense.

Anil Khanchandani is licensed in Pennsylvania and helps residents weigh those trade-offs honestly — comparing the plans actually available in your ZIP code and explaining what each one means for your care and your costs.

Anil speaks English, Hindi, and Sindhi, and is glad to help families who are more comfortable in any of those languages understand their options clearly.

Pennsylvania's PACE and PACENET Prescription Programs

ennsylvania offers something most states don't: a pair of state-run prescription assistance programs, PACE and PACENET, that help residents age 65 and older afford their medications. They're administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and funded by the Pennsylvania Lottery.

These programs work alongside Medicare Part D and other drug coverage to lower what you pay out of pocket for prescriptions. Eligibility is based on the prior year's income, and notably, your home, car, and savings are not counted — which means some Pennsylvanians who don't qualify for Medicare's federal Extra Help program may still qualify for PACE or PACENET.

A few things worth knowing:

  • PACE and PACENET are not the same as Medicare PACE (the "Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly," sometimes called LIFE in Pennsylvania). Despite the shared name, they're completely different programs — one helps with prescription costs, the other is comprehensive care. It's a common and confusing mix-up.
  • The two programs coordinate closely with your Part D plan, and getting that coordination right can affect both your costs and which plan is best for you.
  • Enrolling in or leaving PACE or PACENET may open a Special Enrollment Period, letting you change your Medicare plan outside the normal windows.

This is exactly the kind of coordination where a licensed advisor earns their keep. Anil can help you understand how PACE or PACENET fits with your Medicare drug coverage and whether a plan change makes sense. For the programs' current income limits and to apply, the state's PACE program can be reached directly at 1-800-225-7223. Learn more about Medicare Part D →

Why Work With a Licensed Pennsylvania Medicare Advisor?

National Medicare helplines can list the plans that exist, but they can't tell you whether your rural Pennsylvania hospital is in a given plan's network, or how PACE coordinates with a specific Part D plan. A licensed advisor can.

Working with Anil means:

  • A side-by-side comparison of plans actually available in your Pennsylvania ZIP code
  • Help understanding how PACE or PACENET fits with your Medicare drug coverage
  • Confirmation of whether your current doctors and pharmacies are in-network
  • Help understanding enrollment timing so you avoid late penalties
  • No cost, no pressure, and no obligation to enroll
